O formato do cr\u00e2nio se modifica, pois esse fechamento precoce impede o crescimento \u00f3sseo normal do cr\u00e2nio do beb\u00ea gerando diferen\u00e7as cranianas e faciais.<\/p>\n<p>O diagn\u00f3stico da cranioestenose ou craniossinostose muitas vezes \u00e9 inicialmente suspeitado pelos pais, que percebem um formato anormal do cr\u00e2nio e pelo pediatra que acompanha o beb\u00ea desde os primeiros dias de vida. Sempre que h\u00e1 uma suspeita de cranioestenose, os pais devem procurar um m\u00e9dico neurocirurgi\u00e3o para avaliar o beb\u00ea.<\/p>\n<p>O diagn\u00f3stico pode ser feito pelo exame cl\u00ednico e quando necess\u00e1rio s\u00e3o solicitados exames de imagem.
